  1. Heavenly Father, send your light,
    To us our dear children
    That we ma worship and love you
    From youth and all life through.

  2. We are miserable blind sinners,
    We tread the ways of death;
    In thought and even in our deeds
    We are God’s enemies.

  3. But our friends, parents and guardians,
    Help to keep us bridled,
    They persuade us to seek your face
    Which no one seeks in vain.

  4. We lift up eyes to the hills,
    From whence salvation comes,
    Thou Sun of Righteousness, arise
    With healing in your wings.

  5. Arise, shine on this wretched world,
    Go on shining for aye;
    And until we grow old, do thou
    Show us the Christian way. Amen.
