Hymn 232
Jesus the friend of sinners dies
Jesu ọrẹ ẹlẹṣẹ kú
- Jesus the friend of sinners dies
The children of Salem doth weep
Thick darkness sets and veils the skies
And suddenly, the earth did quake - Behold the mercy and the love
Of the king of glory for man
Behold what joy doth come our way
Jesus who died doth rise again - Then, fear ye not, O saints of God
Tell how the Lord our King doth reign,
Sing of His victory o'er the foe
Tell how He met and conquered death - Proclaim: ''Thou art our king for aye''
Thou who art born to save us all
Ask death and say ''where is thy sting?''
And grave, ''where is thy victory?'' Amin.
