    Where mercy e'er abounds!
    I need forgiveness of my sins,
    Renew my heart, O Lord.

  2. O Lord, I need not bother Thee,
    With this my one request,
    Before I ask, you know my heart,
    The very thing I need.

  3. For mercy Lord, I now implore,
    This is my heart's desire
    Mercy is my soul's greatest need,
    Bestow Thy mercy, Lord. Amen.
